Terms of Use

Preview3D("the app") is a macOS application published by xfanta and distributed through the Mac App Store. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms and to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which governs your license to use the app.

License

Preview3D is licensed, not sold. Your purchase grants a personal, non-exclusive license to install and use the app on the Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms and the Apple EULA. The app and its source code are proprietary; you may not decompile, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the app except as allowed by applicable law or the EULA.

Your content

You retain all rights to the 3D models and files you open, measure and convert with Preview3D. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use those files. Converted or exported files are yours to use as you see fit.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Geometry measurements (volume, surface area, dimensions) and format conversions are produced by automated tessellation and are provided for convenience; they may contain inaccuracies and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for manufacturing, engineering, or safety-critical decisions. Always verify against your authoritative CAD source.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, xfanta shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from the use of or inability to use the app.

Sample models

Any sample 3D models shown on this website or in documentation belong to their respective authors (for example KittyCAD) and are used under their own licenses for illustration only.
