Privacy Policy

Preview3D is a native macOS app for viewing and converting 3D models. It is built to run entirely on your Mac. Preview3D does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.

Your files

The 3D models you open stay on your device. They are read, rendered, measured and converted locally. Preview3D never uploads your files or their contents anywhere.

No tracking

The app contains no analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs, or user accounts. It does not build a profile of you and does not use cookies.

Update check

Preview3D may check whether a newer version is available by making a standard HTTPS request to fetch a small, static version file from preview3d.xfanta.com. This request sends no personal data. As with any web request, our hosting provider may keep short server logs (such as the requesting IP address and timestamp) for security and operational purposes; these are not used to identify or track you.

This website

The website at preview3d.xfanta.com uses privacy-friendly, cookieless Vercel Analytics to count aggregate page views. It does not identify individual visitors.

Purchases

Preview3D is sold through the Mac App Store. Payments and receipts are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We never see your payment details.
